CLIMATE JUSTICE AND INDIGENOUS LIVELIHOODS IN BELIZE

The Caribbean Youth Environment Network in partnership with the Department of Youth Services is hosting a project on Climate Justice and Indigenous Livelihoods designed to build awareness, enhance capacity and provide financial support to youth led climate justice projects in Belize. The Project is being done in two phases: Apply for Phase 1: Training of Trainers This training is an intensive training aimed at building the capacity of a core group of young adults on climate change policy and participation. It is going to be coupled with skills building related to social auditing that is rooted in understanding climate justice and indigenous livelihoods. It is aimed at persons between ages 18-35. This group will then be the trainers that will engage young people in phase 2 with honorarium provided. EXTENDED DEADLINE – CLIMAKON SURVEY! #climatejusticenow #climakon

The Caribbean Youth Environment Network (CYEN) is conducting a Pre-ClimaKon Survey as part of our Caribbean Youth for Climate Action Convention entitled “CLIMAKON.” ClimaKon will provide the opportunity for youth within the Caribbean to gather under the banner of “Climate Action”. This event also seeks to get youth across the Caribbean to speak and give their views more freely on Climate Change and its related issues. The purpose of this survey is to gain the knowledge of Barbadian youth on Climate Change and its related areas. All collected information will be used to inform and steer discussions at the upcoming CLIMAKON Youth Convention. By completing this survey, you will be given an opportunity to win a grand prize after the survey period has closed. *This Survey is only open to Residents, Students (minimum of 1 year in the country) and Citizens of Barbados (Ages 15 – 30)
